Dr. Pablo Alvarez Hess

About me

Dr Pablo Alvarez Hess is a veterinarian from Chile. He came to Australia in 2013 to complete his Master of Animal Science at the University of Melbourne and he then stayed on to do his PhD. Pablo’s doctoral research was focused on evaluating methods for reducing greenhouse the gas emissions of agricultural industries by analysing the effect of different diets and feed additives on methane emissions from dairy cows. Pablo started working at Agriculture Victoria in 2018 and his current research is focused on exploring new methods and approaches for measuring dry matter intake in grazing cattle.
